Mortara conquistou uma vitória firme no Grande Prémio
de Fórmula 3, no Domingo, depois de triunfar o longo duelo com
o companheiro de equipa Jean-Karl Vernay (Signature).
O
italiano partiu da terceira posição da grelha, mas um
bom começo permitiu-lhe passar para o primeiro lugar,
ultrapssando Marcus Ericsson e o homem da pole Vernay, na corrida
para o Hotel Lisboa.
A
corrida foi interrompida por alguns momentos, no entanto, enquanto a
pista estava bloqueada depois de uma múltipla colisão
causada pelo piloto Daniel Ricciardo...

Mortara took a hard-fought victory in the Macau Grand Prix on Sunday
after triumphing in a race-long duel with Signature team-mate
Jean-Karl Vernay.
The
Italian had started from third on the grid, but a good start allowed
him to move past front-row starter Marcus Ericsson and pole position
man Vernay on the run down to Lisboa.
The
race was stopped a few moments later, however, when the track was
blocked following a multiple-car collision caused when Daniel
Ricciardo crashed into the wall at the Solitude Esses and was clipped
by a number of other cars.
At
the restart, Mortara got away cleanly but his advantage was not
enough to prevent Vernay getting into his slipstream and overtaking
him into Lisboa.

Farfus
teve um arranque limpo da pole, e manteve uma excelente vantagem, no
início da corrida, sobre o seu companheiro de equipa Jorg
Muller (BMW), ele próprio a tentar afastar-se da dupla da
SEAT, Yvan Muller e Tiago Monteiro.

World Touring Car Championship in Macau on Sunday, as SEAT’s
Gabriele Tarquini clinched the drivers’ crown.
Aged
47, Tarquini became the oldest FIA World Champion ever, beating Juan
Manuel Fangio's record.
Farfus
led away cleanly from pole position, and held an advantage throughout
the early stages of the race from BMW team-mate Jorg Muller...

deparou-se com problemas – ficando para trás no meio do
grupo e seguir dar um toque na parede à saída da 1ª

Robert Huff dominated the first of the FIA World Touring Car
Championship races in Macau on Sunday – as runner-up finisher
Gabriele Tarquini moved a step closer to capturing the drivers’
title.
Huff
led away cleanly at the start as fellow front-row starter Andy
Priaulx hit trouble – falling back into the pack and then
clouting the wall at the exit of Turn One as he tried to fight off
his rivals.
Priaulx’s
problems allowed Tiago Monteiro to move up to second spot early on,
with Gabriele Tarquini charging through the order to be up to third
by the time the cars braked into Hotel Lisboa Bend.
From
there, Huff managed to open up a cushion over Monteiro until on lap
eight the Portuguese SEAT driver slowed down – handing second
place to Tarquini...

piloto da Peugeot conseguiu obter a vitória depois de um
emocionante RACMSA Rally of Scotland, com o Škoda
de Guy Wilks a terminar no segundo lugar. O
último troço, os difíceis 33 Km de Loch Ard 2,
revelou-se dramático e determinante, com o escocês David
Bogie a despistar-se a depois de percorrido um terço ficando a
bloquear a estrada, numa altura em que Wilks ia a ganhar tempo a
Meeke. Felizmente
tanto Bogie como o seu navegador sairam illesos, mas o incidente
levou à interrupção do troço e as
restantes equipas ficaram com um mesmo tempo e seguiram o resto do
percurso em ligação para o controlo final. O
campeão do IRC 2009, Meeke, foi felicitado por Wilks que
insistiu que estava mais preocupado em terminar do que em ganhar...

ends season with a victory
Peugeot’s
Kris Meeke (30) took the win in a dramatic final day on the RACMSA
Rally of Scotland with Skoda’s Guy Wilks finishing in second
place.
The final
test of the day, the dramatic 33km Loch Ard 2 special stage, saw
drama as Scotland’s David Bogie rolled 11kms into the forest,
effectively blocking the stage for the remaining crews.
Fortunately
both Bogie and co-driver Kevin Rae were unharmed and as a result of
the stage being stopped...

do Rallye Costa Brava-Lloret de Mar, prova pontuável para o
europeu de clássicos, superando-se ao italiano Enrico Brazzoli
(Porsche 911 Sc) por quase três minutos. Brazzoli, por sua vez
sagrou-se campeão europeu na classe 3. O
andorrenho Joan Font (Ford Escort RS) obteve um excelente terceiro
lugar e mantém essa posição no Europeu da classe
3, seguido pelo austríaco Johannes Huber (Porsche 911)...

legendary German driver, Walter Röhrl (Porsche 911 RSR), World
Rally Champion in 1980 and 82, considered on of the best Rally
drivers ever, was the winner of the Rallye Costa Brava-Lloret de Mar,
elegible for the European Historic Sporting Rally Championship,
beating by near three minutes the Italian Enrico Brazzoli (Porsche
911 Sc), who secured class 3 European title. Andorran
driver Joan Font (Ford Escort RS) had a brilliant podium place,
keeping his third place in class 3 championship, ahead of the
Austrian Johannes Huber (Porsche 911). From Madrid, Antonio Sainz
(Ford Escort MkII) ended fifth. With
42 cars at the sart, Marco Bianchini's Lancia Stratos was the first
leader, but was forced to retire on second stage. Salvatore Riolo
(Porsche 911 RS) and Röhrl took the main roles, dominating
Friday's last two stages and Saturday's first two...

dos campeonatos Europeu de Ralis Históricos, de Espanha e da
Catalunha, terminou com as vitórias de Walter Röhrl /
Peter Göbel (Porsche 911 RSR) nos clássicos e de Andreas
Mikkelsen / Ola Floene (Škoda
Fabia S2000) nos modernos.
Mas o maior destaque vai para Sergio
Vallejo, que assegurou o título espanhol de ralis, para Enrico
Brazzoli que se sagrou campeão europeu de clássicos na
categoria 3 e para Josep M. Membrado que conquistou o sexto título
catalão.
O extraordinário êxito
desportivo da prova fica provado pelas 135 equipas participantes,
distribuidos por 21 campeonatos, taças e troféus para
os quais o rali pontuava, e a maior parte deles ainda por decidir. A
edilidade de Lloret de Mar e o Rallyclassics - clube organizador -
realizaram a melhor edição de sempre do mais antigo
Rali de Espanha...

pole position in qualifying at Jarama, but the title race was blown

who trailed their Premier League rivals by 49 points heading into
this weekend’s final round of the 2009 season, missed out on a
place in the knockout stages of qualifying by just two one hundredths
of a second, meaning driver Craig Dolby will start Sunday’s
first race in tenth. Liverpool
driver Adrian Valles will be even further back on the 18-car grid
after finishing seventh, two places behind Dolby, in qualifying Group
B...

NSX consegue a 'pole'
A qualificação para a nona ronda do 2009
Autobacs Super GT, os Motegi GT 250Km, teve hoje lugar sob condições
climatéricas agradáveis no Twin Ring Motegi, em
Tochiki. Quem obteve a pole position na classe GT500 foi o Arta NSX
conduzido por Ralf Firman e Takuya Izawa. Isto colocará,
amanhã, o Honda NSX na frente da grelha da última
corrida da época.
O formato habitual da qualificação do
Super GT através da 'Super lap' com os autores dos oito
melhores tempos a realizar uma única volta lançada, foi
substituído em Motegi por um sistema 'Knock out' semelhante ao
utilizado no Mundial de Fórmula 1. Este sistema foi hoje
utilizado pela segunda vez esta época, já havia
acontecido em Suzuka, na 6.ª ronda do campeonato.
Nesta qualificação de 'bota fora', o Arta
NSX e o Petronas Tom's SC430 travaram uma dura luta contra o
cronómetro...

The Qualifying for Round 9 of the 2009 AUTOBACS SUPER
GT, the MOTEGI GT 250km RACE, was held on November 7 under fair skies
at the Twin Ring Motegi (one lap 4.801 km) in Tochiki Prefecture. The
winner of the GT500 class pole position was the ARTA NSX driven by
Ralph Firman and Takuya Izawa. This will put the NSX machine in front
on the first row for the final race of the season on Sunday the 8th.
Normally, the SUPER GT qualifying is run in a Super Lap format
with each of the top qualifiers from the first session running a
single timed "Super Lap" one at a time...

Despite a cloudy sky over Autódromo do Algarve
early in the morning, both qualifying session were held under a
shinny sun and over a dry track. 2009 PTCC's title is to be decided
between José Pedro Fontes (BMW 320si) and Duarte Félix
da Costa (SEAT Leon Supercopa), but it was the reigning champion
César Campaniço (BMW 320si) to claim the top of the
time sheet, lapping in 1m56.658sec, 0.130sec fastest than da Costa,
the only two drivers stopping the clock under 1min57.
The second row on the grid was filled with other two
S2000 cars: João Pedro Figueiredo's Peugeot 407 S2000 and
Fontes' BMW. Joffrey Didier (SEAT Leon SuperCopa) obtained an
excellent fith place, repeating the good performance evidenced on the
previous PTCC visit to Portimão. José Monroy
(Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) closed the top six qualifyers, who
struggled with fuel pump...
