de Mikkelsen na festa de Vallejo
O
57.º Rallye Costa Brava - Lloret de Mar, penúltima prova
dos campeonatos Europeu de Ralis Históricos, de Espanha e da
Catalunha, terminou com as vitórias de Walter Röhrl /
Peter Göbel (Porsche 911 RSR) nos clássicos e de Andreas
Mikkelsen / Ola Floene (Škoda
Fabia S2000) nos modernos.
Mas o maior destaque vai para Sergio
Vallejo, que assegurou o título espanhol de ralis, para Enrico
Brazzoli que se sagrou campeão europeu de clássicos na
categoria 3 e para Josep M. Membrado que conquistou o sexto título
catalão.
O extraordinário êxito
desportivo da prova fica provado pelas 135 equipas participantes,
distribuidos por 21 campeonatos, taças e troféus para
os quais o rali pontuava, e a maior parte deles ainda por decidir. A
edilidade de Lloret de Mar e o Rallyclassics - clube organizador -
realizaram a melhor edição de sempre do mais antigo
Rali de Espanha, a que o público acorreu em grande número.
A
luta pelo título espanhol foi travada a três. Sergio
Vallejo, Xavi Pons e Miguel Fuster apenas dependiam de si próprios.
No final o piloto galego levava a melhor, depois de no ano passado o
ter perdido por pouco, apesar de ter ganho o rali em Lloret. Este
ano, Vallejo teve de ceder perante o Škoda
do Norueguês Mikkelsen, que fez uma prova brilhante mesmo
beneficiando dos problemas sentidos por Alberto Hevia, em carro
idêntico, na parte final da prova, que mesmo assim terminou em
segundo.
Em
terceiro terminou Pons e Vallejo foi quarto, que se limitou a
controlar na fase final. De qualquer forma Vallejo sagrou-se campeão
de Espanha a um rali do final do campeonato, depois de uma actução
regular e segura. A luta pelo 'vice' será travada na últma
prova entre Xavi Pons, Miguel Fuster e Enrique Garcia-Ojeda. Fuster
foi forçado a abandonar no Costa Brava com problemas
mecânicos. A chuva apareceu para os últimos troços,
o que proporcionou importantes alterações na
classificação, com Hevia a ceder a liderança a
Mikkelsen no penúltimo, com os dois Škoda
a terminarem separados por 8,5s.

The 57th Rallye Costa Brava - Lloret de Mar penultimate
rally of the European Historic Rally, Spanish Rally and Catalunya
Championships ended with victories of Walter Röhrl / Peter Göbel
(Porsche 911 RSR) in the Historic event and of Andreas Mikkelsen /
Ola Floene (Škoda
Fabia S2000) in the modern cars event.
The biggest notes go to Sergio
Vallejo who ensured the Spanish title, to Enrico Brazzoli who won
category 3 European Historic Championship and to Josep M. Membrado
who won his sixth title in Catalunya.
The extraordinary sporting success of
the event is showned by the 135 crews at the start, trying to score
points for the 21 championships, cups and trophies for which this
Rally was elegible, most of them yet to decide. Lloret de Mar Hall
and Rallyclassics, the organizer, had the best edition ever of the
oldest Spanish Rally, with thousands of spectators along the roads.
The fight for the Spanish title had
three contenders who depended only from themselves: Sergio Vallejo,
Xavi Pons and Miguel Fuster. In the end it was decided in favour of
the Galician driver, after having lost for little last year's title,
despite winning at Lloret de Mar. This year Vallejo had to leave the
victory to the Dane Mikkelsen, who had a great Rally, even
beneffiting from Alberto Hevia's problems, who even though ended
second.
In the end Pons came third and
Vallejo fourth, who clearly easened his pace in perfect control of
the situation during the final stages. The runner-up fight will be
decided on the last championship's round between Xavi Pons, Miguel
Fuster and Enrique Garcia-Ojeda. Fuster was forced to retire from
Costa Brava due to mechanical problems. The rain apeared for the
final tests, causing big changes on the chart, like Hevia losing the
lead for Mikkelsen after the penultimate stage, and ending the
Škoda's fight.
